I have included above Dr. Stacy Sims article "What my grandmothers taught me about aging well" as an add on to my previous article on strength training. Researchers who are women, of color, and neurodivergent are illuminating the disparaties and huge gaps in our understanding of the variety of expressions and experience of/in our human bodies. They are revealing the faulty assumptions placed on these bodies. 93% of studies have been done primarily on males, and primarily young males. This data is then placed and interpreted on all bodies and used to advise and make medical decisions. I include this article to continue to disrupt this narrative.
May the unique expression of you be supported by a diverse, expansive and ever evolving understanding of our bodies and well being.
